Who I am
WE ARE INFLUENCED is run by Amelia [SURNAME / BUSINESS NAME]. I'm responsible for the personal information you share through this website. You can contact me at amelia@weareinfluenced.co.uk.
What I collect
- Enquiries and contact messages: your name, email address, what you're interested in and your message.
- Speaking enquiries: your organisation, name, role, email and phone number (if you give them), and details of the talk you're interested in, such as the audience, numbers, date, location and what you'd like it to achieve.
- The mailing list: your email address, your first name if you give it, the topics you've chosen (such as the game, the story, the Conversation Deck, self-discovery, the podcast and events, or the Journal), which page you signed up on, whether you'd like playtesting news, your confirmation of your age, your consent and the date you signed up.
- Bookings and purchases: if you book a call or buy the workbook, the booking or payment provider collects the details needed to do that.
The mailing list
There's one WE ARE INFLUENCED mailing list. When you sign up, you choose the topics you'd like to hear about, and I'll only email you about those. I use your consent as the lawful basis for these emails, and you can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email, or by emailing me.
The mailing list is for people aged 16 or over. Updates about INFLUENCED: The Story, a book for 9 to 14 year olds, are for parents, carers, teachers and other adults aged 18 or over. I don't knowingly collect children's personal information. If you think a child has signed up, email me and I'll delete their details.
The free Start Here questionnaire
While you take it, your answers are saved only in your own browser, on your device. Nobody else can see them, and they're not sent anywhere. They won't appear on another device, and they're deleted if you clear your browsing data or press "Remove my answers from this device".
Only if you choose to share them at the end, and tick the consent box, are your name, email and answers sent to me. They're stored securely with Supabase in London and read only by me. You can ask for them to be deleted at any time. Shared answers are kept for [TIME PERIOD, e.g. 12 months] unless you become a client.
How I use it
To reply to your enquiry, send the emails you've asked for, deliver anything you've bought and provide the services you've booked. I'll never sell your information, and I won't add you to a mailing list unless you've signed up.
Anything you share during discovery work is confidential by default. Nothing becomes public, or goes anywhere else, without your explicit agreement.
Services I use
This website is hosted by Netlify, which also receives form submissions. Mailing-list details are also stored with Kit, the email service I use to send updates. Other services may include [PAYMENT PROVIDER] and [BOOKING TOOL]. Some of these providers may store information outside the UK, with appropriate safeguards in place.
How long I keep it
Enquiries are kept for [TIME PERIOD]. Mailing-list details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete them. Client records are kept for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal requirements.
Cookies
This website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. Pages you visit on other services, such as a booking or payment page, have their own policies.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information I hold about you, or ask me to stop using it, by emailing amelia@weareinfluenced.co.uk. You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in every email. If you're unhappy with how your information has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
